Audition FAQ

What is the rehearsal schedule like? I participate in another extra-curricular activity. Can I still do the show?

It depends. For actors, rehearsals will run on Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fri from 4:15-6:15, 9/. The larger your role is and the more scenes you are involved in, the more time you will need to be there. Those with smaller roles may have a lighter time commitment. Tech Crew meets on Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 and may be a better option for those with multiple conflicts. Generally, if you can attend MOST of the rehearsals, Mr. Wilson will try to work with you when possible and will coordinate with a coach or other activity sponsor to “share” your time. Please know, however, that if you want to have a major role in the production you will need to have very few conflicts.
Can Freshmen or people who are new to theatre participate? Will they actually be considered for a part?

YES! Newcomers are welcome and will be considered for any part.
Do I have to be in a theatre class to audition?

No. Anyone who is a student at OHS can audition for the Fall Show. Our Spring Production is done by the Theatre Production Class.
