And then life happened...

Okay Sorry!  Well while all of you have been frantically trying to see when I was gonna BLOG again - I guess the fact that my wife Kate hazed me into it says something for at least a few people out there reading it.

I guess I'll just try to do quick updates:
THE FALL PLAY:

5 Rehearsals away from the week of the show...well that sure went by fast.

Set is under construction and looking really good!  Even demensional molding!

Now if I can just find a cane wheel chair...jeez

INGLORIOUS BASTARDS:

AWESOME MOVIE - Maybe Quentin's best?  That will have to be argued.  "Killing Zoe" is still one of my favorites.

The CUBS:  So out of it that it aint funny...

However The TIGERS (cmon DETROIT)

TARTUFFE is under way as well -- headed to Wetumpka for the ACT Summit meeting on Saturday!  See if we can't all agree to disagree - it's tough when you put 100 Theatre directors in one room.  I think I'm the most important person mentality becomes very apparent.

I'll try to be better in the future - school shouldn't distract me that much...yeah right!

Oh No!

First day back - definetly not enough time to sit and think about this.

All you need to know is they (the students) are back and angry as ever!

First memoirzed rehearsal today - pray that it goes somewhat according to plan...

Fine no entry...too much to do for Jr. Miss anyway.  So there!

Get er done...

First I'm getting this done and out of the way.

Second I'm restoring the utility room - cause I've totally put that off long enough.

Third I have to learn how to use a new computer program for attendance and grading (student information in general)...that should be fun!

Finally (well not finally for the day) we will have our last prof. devop. of this week!  That's exciting enough for me.

Last unmemorized rehearsal is what will follow that.  Act III of T.M.W.C.T.D.  Two times to go over blocking and then we're hitting the ground running on Monday.
THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER is going to be on TMC this weekend.  The are having a Bette Davis day and of course they would randomly pick this movie to show.  I've actually only seen clips of this one so I'm on the DVR so that I won't miss it.

I did not get to mow the lawn.  Too much rain - and a little too much lazy - but it was raining!

Cubs lose - but so do the Cards - so still knotted up...

Jr. Miss Rehearsal tomorrow and pagent or scholarship opportunity (depending on how you look at it) is Saturday at 7:00.  Be there or be somewehere else.

Sooo many meetings...

Nothing like educating educators.  Really we do make the worst students - I wanna slap some of us sometimes - I say this knowing that people feel the same way about me...so it's okay.  Well at least I think it is.

No time really - this is my extended lunchbreak.  Pretty soon I'll be back on the the school food diet I'm sure.  I think making the resolution to bring my lunch every day is way to intense.  My cousin did point out the other day that I've been eating the same rotation of lunch food for the last 8 years.  I felt sick...but don't think I'm ready to commit to quitting yet.

Okay I gotta go to the next meeting - then rehearsal - then I really REALLY need to mow our lawn!

Can I Get Any More Professionally Developed?

So I made it through another ½ day of it!  Tomorrow is the doozey however…7:45 – 3:30 straight no chaser.

Tuesday of our second week in rehearsal – I’m wondering if the humor of this old classic play will hit home with the audiences of Opelika – or if it will sail over everyone(s) head?  It may be the year for that.  Season motto: Come Sail Away --- just kidding.

I won (well my table) a projector for the Arts department an LCD Projector yesterday with a full house in one of Dr. Cox’s “Let the games begin” activities.  Guess I’m kinda lucky J…speaking of Full House if you like watching poker on TV – tonight should be a great one to watch on ESPN.  It is a night of champions or something like that so if you like to watch it – well then watch it!

Cubs Update:  Beat the lowly Reds last night and moved into a tie with the idle Red Birds.  This is could be a long couple of months.

So much work I gotta do – I can’t believe I found time to write this much.  I’ll try to think of some new topics cause I feel the repetition coming on.  I guess you can get pumped for some JR. MISS if you like that kind of stuff.

They're Here...

Yes it's true - all teachers reported for duty in the city of Opelika today!  It can be marked as OFFICIAL - it's over!

It's Over Rock!

Almost completely blocked for the play – which is like I said always good but grueling.  The next few days are going to really tell if this cast can pull this off and get it together as quickly as we are going to need to.  There are a lot of the rookies in the fall play scenario on stage this year but a handful of seniors and juniors who have that bit of experience and professionalism to pull us on through.

Cubs Update: I’m gonna kill that Gregg guy.  I know that’s harsh but c’mon 2 games in a row with blown saves.  We can’t be holding our breath if we plan on making a run at this thing.  In my opinion L.A. and Philly aren’t that great of teams.  St. Louis with the moves they made – I’ll give it to them.  It’s gonna be tough road to haul.

Birthday party weekend was awesome!  I think I lost my golf mojo that I had discovered over the summer.  After 5 rounds of 91 or less – RTJ humbled me quite vigorously on Friday.  Stayed under a 100 which is always a good thing, but I miss the mojo already.  I guess it’s just another sign that the summer is over.

I’m done for now – but I’ll tell you more or less later!
