Productive on a Tuesday....

Really?  If yall know me (and I judge most of you do) then you know how I feel about Tuesday!  I dare say it is the worst day of the week - there is nothing quite interesting to look foward to.  You disaterously have one day behind you and three in front of you, whilst the weekend is nowhere in sight.  However - I shall do my best to be productive today...no really I'm gonna try - and that is all anyone should ask of me.

Need to put together a to - do list...
Need to finish reorganizing the Storage Closet in the OPAC.
Need to finish cleaning classroom.
Need to work on OPAC rental information for next year.
Need to work on letter for sponsorship for OHTS.
Need to ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (that feels better - I can cross that one off)
Need to get started!

I can not believe that rehearsal starts in 26 days --- that is weird.  I know it's gonna be weird for this group of Seniors.  I have a really large and strong class of seniors this year and it's gonna be awfully rough letting them go.  I think maybe I'll just flunk them all so that they have to stay for at least one more year.

It's going to be an exciting year.  I feel it's going to be a bit different.  Lot's of new faces on the horizon - we always strive (or I say we - I guess I mean I) to make it different then the previous year.  Monotony would kill this cat - and in a place like High School sometimes it is very tough to get out of the repetitive cycle - and well the shows and the theatre experiences that we create at OHTS help to really divide up that monotony.  Honestly - I recall the last 8 years of my life by what shows I directed that year.  I might say, "what year was that? A View From The Bridge / How To Succeed?  Yeah, that was 2004."  Some might say that is sick, but I don't think I would have managed to do this job this long if I wasn't "sick".

5 Days 5 BLOGS...

Hooray - and yes I want a cookie...that is pretty solid...I can't remember the last time I got all 5 days in!  I didn't think I was going to get to it today (Bus Driver Recertification in the OPAC)  but I'm here - so hopefully my consistency will spurn some of you out there to leave a comment or tell others to come on read something that will totally not impact there lives in any way shape or form.

Obviously some big things happened yesterday:  As if you could find anything else on the NEWS...The King of Pop was definetly a mood changer Thursday evening.  Even though many are mourning - there are a handfull who are mocking the death.  I don't care who you are or what you did (if and when) you die I hope that someone is there to mourn you being gone and not slandering someone who can't defend themselves.  Do I think he was innocent (NO)  Do I think he deserves all the awards he won (YES)  Is he the biggest music star or my generation (OBVIOUSLY). I don't really wanna dwell on it too much...

Fav. Dance Song - Rock With You or Don't Stop Till Ya Get Enough
Fav. Ballad - Man In the Mirror
Fav. VIDEO - Do You Remember The Time...

Much love to one of the original Pinups as well:  Miss Farrah has left the buliding ...WOW rough day yesterday!

Not much else to say today - hope everyone has a wonderful weekend - I'll try to make sure I'm back right here on Monday - I'm sure you'll all be waiting!

Bye Bye Love...

Well I hadn't really fallen in love with it I guess - but it appears that Mr. Coach Revel Gholston of Opelika City Schools shouldn't be able to text anymore. Cry

Can't say that I really understand why and I may still go talk to AT&T myself and see if there isn't something that I can work out, but PLEASE DO NOT TEXT ME ANYMORE - it cost's me $$ just to recieve them.  I'll let you know if that changes.  I know some of you are thinking ohh I'm gonna text him now just to be funny (and I admit I might find some slight humor in that as well) but I'm gonna ask you for the money.  2 months bills of texting makes me feel like a bad teenager whose parent has to pay for the charges.  So it was fun while it lasted - it will definetly be missed - "generally, I liked it" NAME THE MOVIE...

MOULIN ROUGE - SILLY!

Not much more to say - If anyone is feeling bored and wants to come turn the lights on and off while I replace bulbs I would aprpiciate a little help today...

The Oscars are going to nominate 10 movies for best picture now and not 5 --- my first reaction BAD IDEA JEANS...

A FOOTBALL coach was shot in IOWA near where I went to school, and that is very frightening.  I believe it turns out the shooter was just released from a hostpital (mental) - but it still is awkwardand eye opening that those of us that motivate secondary education age children are making a greater impact on the emotional and mental state of the youth in America than we may realize.  Not that I'm failing to acknoledge that teachers or coaches or directors, for that matter, do this without thinking -- but sometimes it may do some good to sit back and realize the molding ability that we have at our hands.  It is also a warning to be carefull on how far or hard you can push a young'n...anyway that is my reflection on it sort of-

Summer Breeze...

Drifting away...rolling through the jasmine in my mind...okay I'll stop.

Awaiting the light bulbs so I can climb into the ceiling and change oh about a 20 or so...not so much fun.  Was feeling quite motivated today - key word being "was".  I don't know what it is that tells me that it is okay you'll have time.  Cause looking at a calender - I DO NOT!

I'm afraid Summer is half over already.  I am definetly not ready to start up another year.  Heard from Coach Wally Moon yesterday.  Facebook is an amazing thing for communication.  Even discussing music with a friend from high school that I haven't spoken to in 11 years or so.  (Thanks Facebook)

Talked some movies with Dr. H.  Appraently Pelham is better than first assumed.  I've finally seen The Hangover and sugguest if you are of age that you should go see that one for a good laugh.  Can not wait for the Dillinger Movie with Depp gonna be awesome...

Oh and have you seen Depp's Alice In Wonderland Picture Yet?: (Here it is)

Imagine that one is going to be crazy also...

Sacha B. Cohen is back with another spin off character "shock" film...BRUNO.  Those of you that do not know this man as a comedian should not delve into any of this films.  This one is going to be qutie different...

See That Wasn't Too Hard...

It makes it a whole lot easier to try and BLOG when you look and see that you have 100 entries and at least 100 comments.  I've been so inconsistent with keeping this BLOG up that I can't say that yesterday was really a milestone or anything, but I guess it's cool that I've written 100 entries.  Now let's see if we can let the comments surpass the entries.

I did feel a bit of facebook slut asking people to come and comment through my status, but I guess if that is what it takes - I can be a good slut.  Just Kidding ---->

Have to finish cleaning up the room today.  Have to rebulb the audience in the Theatre (Not really a one man job)...need to finish blocking the fall productions.  I better stop this and actually write down the "to do" list - nobody wants to read my to do list.  Funny thing about the to do list.  Have you ever done something and then put it on the list just so you could feel accomplished and mark it off.  I am totally guilty of that, and willing to admit it.

Transition:  Have you ever thought about some of those things that you won't admit to doing or being a part of in the face of your co-workers or peers.  Not really disgusting stuff, but things that could lead people to think that you are weird...I guess I'm okay with being weird - cause today I told some of the office ladies that I attended a WWF (WWE whatever) event by myself - yeah don't tell that one very often - I guess it was because I was 22 yrs old and had already graduated college.  Sometimes it's good to get stuff off your chest.

He's Back...

And everyone let's out a WHO CARES!!!

I mean seriously there are very few people here at work this week -- and I "could" not be here - but I do have some things that need to get done - and if anyone has checked a calender we start rehearsals for the fall in one month thereabouts.

I'm getting ready to try and bait some folks to come over and read the BLOG.  It does make me want to do it more if I see comments obviously...so try leaving one cause at least that shows that someone is reading and I'm not just using this as therapy for my inner-monolgue.

Vacation was awesome - and that's all I have to say about that.

Heading to Kansas City in a little while for my sister-in-laws wedding - and then onto the Mtn.'s of North Carolina for a drop off and a drop in...figure that one out!  I will however be here through the 4th so if yall got some plans and need some entertaining - Don't call me - just kidding let me know!

I know what you've been thinking...

What happened?

Where did he go?

Why did he stop all of the sudden?

Who is he talking to besides us?

When will it start back?

How am I going to live without this BLOG?

Or in all honesty you have probably just assumed that I wasn't thinking about it again or maybe I did slip off on another vacation...that's tomorrow!  However I am going to try and "think" about it while I'm gone this time.  I need to e-mail myself the URL so that I can do it on a different computer.  That has been one of the hardest things with keeping up the BLOG is that it is only on my work computer.  As well as the site - I only have it on my old laptop that is about to explode at any second.  I should really figure out how to back up this stuff that is drectly debited from my account every month.

I have also been thinking about a few other things:

1.  GAME 7 {I don't need to say more if you keep up with my facebook status(s)}

2.  March/April/May 2010 - and a 2010/2011 OPAC Schedule - {which scares me like no other}
3.  Oh did I mention I'm headed back to the beach - lot's of sitting, golfing, eating, oh sitting...

4.  I'm struggling to think of another thing - really I've just been focused on my Red Wings game 7
5.  Of course I have been thinking about the 3 shows coming up this year...
6.  And the sponsorship and support for next year...

Wooops missed one...

Maybe it's cause the INTERNET was down all day yesterday - but honestly I didn't think about BLOGing too much.  I have been going through papers like there is no tomorrow.  Truthfully the way time is passing me by it seems like tomorrow is already gone.  Gonna have to try and get a hold of that somehow.

I really need someone to take that Kitten that we rescued.

Then again I don't think anyone is really reading this all that much so I don't guess this is the best advertising.  I'll try facebook maybe that world will re-build the BLOG reading.  I bet if people want parts they'll start reading and COMMENTING!

Red Wings took one step closer to the CUP - even though we lost I feel that we had to get that one out of the way - winning the CUP in essence is going to happen...

Costumes Plots and Scripts and Set Designing and mo Cleaning in the future today...oh yeah and I gotta mow the lawn Cry

How come I don't smile when I do this?

Good Monday!

I mean we have Good Friday, right!  So here is a Good Monday.  Mainly cause monday catches such a bad rap all the time.  Nonetheless this has to be a good monday.  A weekend in paradise (well at least some of the best Florida has to offer).  The beloved Detroit Red Wings are up 2-0 in THE STANELY CUP FINALS.

Ohh Lord Stanley why do we covet thee?

Summer is now in full swing.  Saturday will mark the end of the Dance Recital run of 2009 - it has been one of the longest in the history of the OPAC.  Which is 22 years for those of you who are counting.  The OPAC can leagally go out and party as much as it wants too!

The only thing bringing me down is the stupid mail service.  I started to get work things mailed to my house and it made it mroe efficient but way harder to obtain the package without slipping out on work for a few min.

Trying to get the packages to the school especially in the summer time is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT...but it's such a good monday I'm not about to complain about that.

Hope everyone is doing well - I will be here all week 7:30ish - 4:00ish except on Friday -- it's a 1/2 day.  Come and visit and bring treats!
