Packages in the mail...

I rarely try to display my impatience, except when waiting for a package that I've ordered to come in the mail.  Especially when it's theatre stuff at the school.  It never seems to get here when it should.  I don't know if that is because it is a school or a lot of the time it's becuase I'm rushed and need to get whatever I ordered.  I'm not rushed now and it still is IRKing me something awful.  I just wanted a box full of books (playscripts) and the contract to do the fall play.  I mean I paid for express ground and well Memorial day and a whole bunch of rain later it's been a week since I've ordered them and well they are not here imagine that.

Better news is that I'm headed to SanDestin for the weekend.  It really rarely gets much better living than that...

Pandora radio is the jam - I know it's old and I've known about it for a while but I don't know that I've ever expressed my wonderment towards that website...speaking of websites bluegobo.com is down due to the pending lawsuit from the Ed Sullivan show.  Gimmie a break - that site was one of the few sources that this generation of kids knew who the hell Ed Sullivan was...jeez some people just don't get it sometimes.

Serious Pictures...

So I'm sitting at my newly rearranged office and directly to my left now is the Les Miserables Cast Picture.  It is a tradition in our group to take a SERIOUS picture - you know one where no one is smiling - just staring at the camera - no smile with maybe even a tinge of weightiness.  I must say we did a pretty decent job with over 40 people in the photo.  We've gotten some pretty nice seriouis shots over the years.  Shout out to Cliff McCollum who has a serious shot up on the wall - and Picnic may still get the best serious shot from everyone in the cast - heck even ABM has a serious senior picture up..I wonder how many of them I can scrap up.  Don't worry all you traditionalist - you know we do the traditional goofy one and the nice one, and well we just all take the time to do a "serious" one.  Heck, even my wife and I took a shot like that at our wedding and it turned out great!  Don't knock it till you try it-

Need to finish cleaning the room and find out where in the mail circut my scripts are for next season.  I'm already money pinching - let's see how far we can stretch our small fortune.  Thanks Boubil and Schonberg...

Good Start -- Good Chi

Well summer offically started today at OHS.  This means that I have now attempted to clean and rearrange my office so that I can achieve good chi - and so far so GOOD!  I have put my hands on my Itouch - it was in a very odd place so I can't say that I put it there but whoever did thank you very much and I will have to be more carefull with my prize possesions in the future.

Besides cleaning I need to try to get my head above water this week so that I can head to the beach some in the next two weeks.  I should get down there this weekend to hang with my sis and bro in law for a couple of days.  That'll be a good warm up for a the week long vacay in a couple of weeks.

I'm sure the next year will be here before we know it and there isn't much we can do about it - time will go on whether you want it to or not.  Conclusion:  Don't blink.

Wishing you all good chi as you start the summer - come by and see the new office layout if you are bored!!!

Summer again, seriously...

Well I'm not complaining but I can't believe another one is here and another season and class of theatre seniors have moved on.  This group meant a lot it also means that I've been here a long time - more than twice as long as I thought I would be here.  What can I say - "small town" south can put the hooks in you.

Lots of inventory ~ lots of repairs ~ lots of planning ~ lots of catching up on teacher responsibilites that seemed to have gotten negated...vitrually too much stuff to do and well I guess now I've got the time so I'll try to keep going on the BLOG - it is the summer that brought it round in the first place.

Next year is looking as crazy as ever and well I just hope to get through them one at a time and thats ultimately - one day at a time...

SAN DESTIN in a very short time from now...
KANSAS CITY for a wedding...(sister in law)
NORTH CAROLINA for some visits I'm sure...

I'm not sure where else...maybe CHICAGO for a CUBS game or DETROIT in a week or two when we are in the Stanley Cup Finals AGAIN!!!

Let's go Wings!

No Excuses...

Believe I know how totally lame I am for not even making it through August before I gave up again.Frown  Good news (cue Kristin)... is that it is almost summer now!

To recap the year:

BRIGHTON BEACH - came and went a wonderful success
THE APPLE TREE - was another great ride for the OHTS competition crew with wonderful awards bestowed upon it...
(Finally) LES MISERABLES - came off way better than anyone inculding myself ever thought it could

So another year in the books - another summer to plan - another season to unfold it's mysteries.

WE HAVE AUDITIONS COMING UP REAL SOON:

Week from Monday - THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER (the fall play)
Week from Tuesday - Call Backs for T.M.W.C.T.D.

Week from Wednesday - Auditions for TARTUFFE (this years competition piece)

Yes I know a lot of you have heard but next spring (auditions in December sometime):
OLIVER!

It was a little late but we nailed down everything and believe it or not I'm ready to get underway.  We have a wonderful group of seniors and handfull of up and comings that will make next season one of the best ever - if not THE best ever...I am going to try better at this - I Promise!

I've also been trying to update the website so there should be some new suprises...TTYL
