While on vacation...

I don't really wanna come back...soo if anyone wants to run the NPR on Wednesday night - please let me know - so I can stay in FLORIDA

The weather has been perfect - no complaints from me that is for sure...

I usually take spring break to decide what productions I will be tackling next year - however with the first ever Trumbauer One Act Class putting a wrinkle in the way we "typically" do things I have had to use spring break to prepare for more than just announcing what next year holds.

I have to have auditions before the summer for basically 2 of the 3 productions for next years schedule.  That in itself is something I'm not quite ready for.  Nonetheless, to do what ought to be done but would not have been done unless I did it, I thought to be my duty.

So I'm ready for Little Women - in fact I'm excited about tacking a huge piece of historical literature...

We will talk later, don't forget as I mentioned the NATIONAL PHIL. OF RUSSIA is on WEDNESDAY - OLGA back in town!!!

More or less next time -

Since I can't seem to get this...

Since I can't seem to get this whole Blogging consistantly thing down - I guess I'll just have to have these huge - way over due "reflections"

This was gonig to be a reflection about Into the Woods being over and this year's production schedule for OHTS coming to a close.  However I then realized that I hadn't ever really reflected on Noises Off either - and so now we will briefly reflect on this amazing year.

Truly this year has been my greatest achievment as a a director.
Sure the first show was great and then actually putting together a musical was awsome and sure people are still talking about Fiddler and Sound - but in all truthfullness - I have never felt as fullfilled as I feel after this years productions.

Maybe it was becuase many people doubted us - or maybe it's because I even doubted myself and my students at many times during rehearsals.

Nonetheless we can no loger "raise" the bar - My new theory on what needs to be done here in Opelika is we now are going to "extend the bar".  We are just gonig to have to come out with more productions and more opportunities for the people to see our work.

So next year it's time for the first ever "WINTER PRODUCTION"

Yes next year will have:
FALL PLAY -- LITTLE WOMEN September 2007

WINTER SHOW -- CATS (I think) November - December 2007

SPRING MUSCIAL -- T.B.D. March 2008

So yeah maybe I am over extending myself - and maybe I'm just trying to keep as many kids involved as I can.  This past year has made me realize that there is a lot of potential in a lot students that are merely afraid of trying or being discouraged.

So we do have A LOT of things happening here at the Performing Arts Center:
NEXT is National Philharmonic of Russia on WEDNESDAY of next week:

That is truly all for now:

Surviving and Loving It...

Well we survived the first weekend -

I didn't think we would ever be doing this production much less do it as well as we have been, and getting the reviews that we are...

So no need to say that if you haven't been yet - you might wanna swing by this weekend and see what we have in store for you and yours.

Despite the OAA News giving us a "BLAIR WITCH" brand it is suitable for all children - in fact I think they might get more out of it than some adults.

 FRIDAY and SATURDAY @ 7:00
We close SUNDAY @ 3:00

 Hope to see you there-
